If you are looking for a sport that can be extremely challenging but will still require the skills that you have obtained as a skateboarder, then snowskating is your answer. That’s right. Snowskating was developed with the skateboarder in mind. The snowskate itself is not much longer than a skateboard and basically it has two decks: the deck that the rider stands on and the lower deck which is basically the same thing as a ski. There are not bindings that keep the riders feet on the board in this sport like there are in snowboarding.
With no bindings keeping your feet strapped on the board, you are still able to do all of those cool tricks that skateboarders do such as the kick flip. You can gain higher speeds with the skate which in turn can make it more exciting while making it more dangerous as well. You have to take the risks that are involved with the sport, just like you have to with any other sport that you may participate in.
Snowskating is not as popular or as well known as its relatives snowboarding and skateboarding; however, there are those certain people who are developing the sport and pushing for skate parks to be developed at resorts across the globe. There are the people who have already become professionals at the sport even though it hasn’t really taken off yet.
